2004 Soling Schemes

Bare Boat
Bare boat, will be an initiative led by the host clubs of each championship; where Soling hulls, masts and spars that are available for use at the host club could be borrowed using your own sails and accessories with an extended insurance policy or with a joint owners agreement. If members are interested, then notify the UK Soling Association who will advertise or forward details to like minded members.

Designated Competitor
Designated Competitor may take the form of two boat owners from two areas of the UK teaming up to compete in the series of Championships. During the series, two boats maybe used but a team must be entered by a designated competitor who sails in the each championship to qualify for the Championship Series. This could allow members to travel the UK without the long drag with a Soling behind the car and solve any crew shortages. If members are interested, then notify the UK Soling Association who will advertise or forward details to like minded members.

2004 Soling Class Aims
The BSA’s Soling UK Series aims to achieve the following:

Recognise and reward more Champions in 2004 Increase the level of entries at each event Increase the competitiveness and enjoyment of Soling racing Improve the reputation, image and media coverage of the Championships and the Soling Class.
